First Day of Our Homeschool Co-op

We had a long, but exciting, day today! We attended our first day of our Catholic, classical homeschool cooperative. This is an all-day program that meets twice a week. The main program serves children in grades 5 through 12, but for younger kids we have a Classically Catholic Memory program and one of the moms also runs a great Story of the World program.

Emma had a blast. Of course, she is our super extroverted, social butterfly. The other kids did well and all seemed to have a good day. Peter, the one I was most worried about, seemed genuinely happy at lunchtime and at the end of the day.  Right now they are unwinding by playing Mario Kart after dinner. Tomorrow, they will be doing “homework.” This is definitely a big transition for us. We’ve always been independent homeschoolers. I plan to post frequent updates throughout the transition.

Do you use a co-op or charter? Are you an independent homeschooler? Tell me about it!
