9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

When Dream Come True in Unexpected Ways

Many years ago, I was doing this visualization exercise. The idea was to close your eyes and “see” where you would be and what you would be doing 5, 10, 15…years into the future.  And I saw myself sitting on a bench, or some such, in a lush garden, with little ones running around kind of an island of beautiful flowers.  It was just a fleeting glimpse. It wasn’t until recently that I looked out on our tiny postage stamp sized yard, with the lilacs in full bloom along the fence and the azaleas opening up…and realized, this, this was what I saw when I closed my eyes.

happy mothers day-001

It had not occurred to me that my “dream” of what motherhood would be like had come true. Sure, it doesn’t really look like that glimpse of idyllic peace I had all those years ago. But moments of it do. Just as I can’t share with you every minute of what my life is like, there’s no way I could dream every minute of what my life would be like. All I could imagine was what it would look like, not how it would feel or how deeply it would stir my soul.

So, to all the mothers out there---Happy Mother’s Day.

Especially if you are in the thick of things. I wish you the very best and I hope that you’ll remember those lovely moments of peace when everything was right with the world.

God Bless You.
