This Blog is An Archive And Has Not Been Updated Since 2018

9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

Free Full-Color Math Picture Flash Cards for Visual Kids

Do you have a kid who struggles to keep those math facts in his head?  These math flash cards are a little different, designed just for my highly visual, hands-on child.  They can be used for addition and subtraction.  Each card (just under 2”x4”) covers a fact family, so one card can be used to commit 6 + 4 = 10, 4 + 6 = 10, 10 – 4 = 6, and 10 – 6 = 4 to memory.  No flipping needed, the entire fact is contained on the front of the card.    The set covers facts adding up to 10 or less (zeros are not included).

Click the picture to download.  Also available without numbers here (the set is exactly the same, but the parts and wholes are not labeled with their values).

You will need a color printer and 3 sheets of cardstock to print these cards.

You might also like to use the accompanying worksheets (click here or on the picture to download):

For the child who freaks out when there’s a lot on a page, just cut the grid apart and have him/her do one fact family at a time.  This file prints on 4 sheets of plain paper (or you could print on cardstock and make cards) and covers all the same facts as the flash cards (I omitted 1+1, however, because including it would have meant a whole extra sheet for it).

Here they are in action.

  5. Could you please add a new link. This one has been disabled. Thanks so much!

    1. Thanks for letting me know. Apparently Dropbox made some changes recently and disabled old links, so the worksheet link was disabled. I've fixed it. Please let me know if you have any trouble downloading.

  6. Hi! I love the visual math flash cards, but I am not able to download for printing. Could you please send a new link? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Amanda,
I just checked the links and they all appear to be working. When you click, it will open the pdf in google docs and you should see icons at the top for downloading or printing. I hope that helps. :)

  7. Thank you so much for sharing this! I am so sorry to trouble you. I am able to click the links, but it says there is an error when I try to download. Is this on my end?

    1. Hi there, I'm so sorry you're having trouble. I just tested all the files while logged out and they loaded just fine for me, so hopefully it was just a temporary glitch. If you still can't get them to work, please feel free to email me: I can see about emailing you the files directly. -Susan
