This Blog is An Archive And Has Not Been Updated Since 2018

9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

The Week of Birthdays, Scouts, and More Stuff

Lots of big things happened this week.

Look who’s 12!

And totin’ his first pocket knife.  David has already earned his Boy Scout Totin’ Chip and so it seemed a fitting birthday gift.

Earlier this week we found out that he might only be twelve…but his wisdom teeth think he’s more like 16…too bad his jaw doesn’t agree.  He is “dentally mature” for his age, but doesn’t have enough room for all those teeth, which is keeping his 12 year molars from erupting as they should.  The long and short of it is:  David will be getting his wisdom teeth removed in less than 2 weeks.  Yikes!

The good part:  it should be much less traumatic than having them removed as an adult because the roots have not yet formed and they are relatively easy to access.  But, it will require surgery.

The bad part:  boy is dental surgery expensive!

Thank you, Lord, for tax refunds.

Look who’s 3!

And sassy. ;0)

Emma loves to pose for the camera, it is virtually impossible to get a candid shot of her anymore.

David and Emma together:

Look who earned his Tiger Rank!

Peter was excited. ;0)

Did you notice the sassy young thing in pink sneaking into the spotlight?055

Check out the cakes the cub scouts made with their dads for the Blue and Gold Banquet!

Here’s Peter’s:

Because a campsite isn’t complete without 10-foot high marshmallow monsters.

Here’s Mary and Emma together:024

And I haven’t even talked about the things we are doing in “school.”  This week we started a study on oceans that I’ll tell you about at some point.

Now I just need to get ready for the big double birthday party for our extended family tomorrow.

‘Twas a busy, but good, week.  How was yours?
