9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

The Fitness Kick-Start Team!

I’m an indoor homebody, ‘tis true. I shudder at mud on shoes. Even more at muddy bare toes. Blame it on my spic and span upbringing and my OCD brain, whatever. Somehow I can live with my schoolhouse clutter, not so much clumps of nature brought indoors.

But it’s really wet outside. Every time it starts to dry out, it rains again. The local playground is surrounded by marsh land. Our own backyard is a mud pit.

I’m having a real hard time getting out with the kiddos. My ick hang-ups are doing me in.

So, I end up sitting around a lot. My quotient of physical activity time to time spent with my eyes glazing in front of the computer is at an all time low. And my aches, pains and eyestrain are showing it.

So, when I found out that Mrs. White over at The Legacy of Home was lining up a group of bloggers interested in improving their fitness…and that she had one slot left, well I knew that slot was meant for me.

Over the next 4 weeks, each of these lovely ladies will be sharing their journey to better fitness every Friday. Maybe you can get a Fitness Kick-Start by joining us? Mrs. White is offering a Walmart Gift Card Giveaway at The Legacy of Home to help you get motivated!

So, let's talk about how I will be improving my fitness. I tried this last year around this time and ended up failing miserably...I simply tried to do too much too quickly. Improving my health is going to be an exercise in forming good habits...and habits take time. Better to start small and slowly build up so I don't find myself unable to achieve my goals.

The goals I’ll be working on over the next 4 weeks (don’t laugh, please ;0):

  • Increase water intake (I’ve been slightly dehydrated lately, and in spite of what the EU thinks, I know more water will help.)
  • decrease caffeine intake (I’ve been a bit edgy lately.)
  • partake in some physical activity each day, at least 15 minutes (outdoors if the weather is pleasant, even if it is muddy outside),
  • decrease the amount of time I spend in front of the computer (Why is Facebook so dang addictive?)

And every Friday I’ll share my accomplishments (and failures, you know I always keep it real around here) with y’all.

  1. Those are great goals!

I had gone 2 weeks without Dr. Pepper and then I got sick, so I needed it so calm my stomach. Once I feel better, I'm back to square one. All that to say, I'm going to be striving to not allow illness knock me out of the fitness game this month.

  2. Thanks for sharing about your journey! I've been making life changes too. More water, more exercise....
I'm visiting from Molly's Team and now I'm your newest GFC follower. I hope you'll visit me too!
