Privacy Policy

Homeschooling Hearts & Minds was created by the owner, Susan Anadale, to support families who educate or supplement their children's education at home.

I value your privacy as much as my own.

Nothing annoys me more than to have someone sell my contact info to other mailing lists or to share my personal information without my permission, and I would never do that to you.

This privacy policy outlines in plain, everyday language how and when I may collect personal information from you and how it is handled.

Types of Data Collected by this Site

Website Cookies

This site is hosted on Blogger, a Google platform. Blogger tracks general data on this site, including things like number of pageviews, pages viewed, sites visitors came from, visitor country, etc. This information is anonymized and cannot be traced to a particular user by me. Blogger stores and compiles this information, therefore the site owner has no control over it.

Google Analytics

This site uses the third-party service, Google Analytics, to track things like pageviews, popular pages, landing pages, view times, links clicked, etc. in order to better serve you, my readers. This information is processed in such a way that it is not linked to a particular visitor. I do not make, nor allow Google to make, any attempt to identify a particular visitor through this data. Google stores this data and I have no way of modifying it.

Affiliate Links

Susan Anadale (owner of Homeschooling Hearts & Minds) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Susan is also an affiliate for other companies, including (but not limited to) NoteBookingPages.com, Currclick.com, MyMemories.com, Educents, and ClassicalComposerMonthly.com.

Affiliate programs use trackable links in order to properly credit affiliates for bringing customers or visitors to a site. Information that is collected by that third-party (ie. Amazon, NotebookingPages.com, etc.) may include: number of click-thrus, which affiliate links were used, what pages the visitor visited on the company's site, whether the visitor made a purchase, how much the purchase was for, etc.

As an affiliate, I do not have access to any of the visitor's personally identifying information and I do not attempt to identify any particular visitor. Affiliate programs and the information they collect are administered by those companies who have instituted them (ie. Amazon, NotebookingPages.com, etc.). I am not able to change the information collected by these companies.

Mailing List

This site is not currently maintaining a mailing list, however, I have previously had mailing lists  through both Feedburner and Mailchimp. These lists collected email addresses and names from subscribers in order to deliver website updates, newsletters, and access to subscriber freebies through email. This information was not shared with other parties.

There may still be some opt-ins floating around on this site, but I am in the process of cleaning those up and removing them. If you have previously signed up to receive mailings from Homeschooling Hearts & Minds through Mailchimp, the list has been discontinued and I no longer have access to that information. If you accidentally sign up through an old opt-in, you may receive an email confirmation and access to the old subscriber page, but you won't receive any new newsletters or site updates.

Access to Your Personal Information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to Susan at susanadale@gmail.com.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This policy will be reviewed and updated periodically.
