This Blog is An Archive And Has Not Been Updated Since 2018

9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

New Year Changes Coming!

This morning I dragged myself out of bed at 6:11 am, showered, savored some fresh brewed coffee, talked with my BFF (while he puttered in his stamp collection) and had a little heart-to-heart with myself.

I don’t do that enough, talk to myself, complete with hand gestures, smirks, and whispers.

Because my 4 kids tend to ask questions.  And wonder if I’ve gone off the deep end.

Or maybe they just think they are missing out on some awesome joke I am keeping to myself.

But it’s safe before they wake.

They slept.  And I postponed waking them for church while I pondered this brand new year.

I’m excited!  Call it a mid-life “re-birth.”

I’ve rediscovered some of the things I’d forgotten, things that I’m passionate about.

And some brand new things.  Or, really, things that have always been bubbling under the surface, but have been hidden under the day-to-day hub-bub.

I’ve also gained some much needed perspective on what this homeschooling blog is really all about.

It’s not about page views or sponsors or any of that jazz.

Although more page views and even one sponsor would be nice. {wink}

What it really is about is going to become much clearer over the coming weeks.

I have a plan.

And it’s actually do-able, because it fits who I really am and not who I’m “supposed” to be.

And it’s not carved in stone, first do a, then b, and c, destined to be completely and utterly foiled by real life when it hits.

Real life always hits.

I’m going to working hard on some things that really, really work.  And letting go of some things that just don’t deserve my precious time.

Some changes will be happening around the ole blog.  Good changes.

Click that “subscribe” button in the upper right sidebar so you won’t miss anything.

Happy New Year!

  1. Sounds exciting! I always try to evaluate things and make some changes at the first of the year too. But my hubby was on vacation ...which means I've been on vacation mode too. :) He goes back to work tomorrow, so now the plan is to get focused tomorrow and think about all the tweaks that need to be made!
