What I Do When I Don’t Wanna Do Anything

The stuff we have to do all day every day can very quickly lead to rusty cog syndrome.

You know what I’m talking about.  You get bogged down.  You really get why someone invented things like paper plates and microwaveable dinners, because you’re tired of being up to your elbows in dirty dishes.

So, what do I do when I don’t want to pick up the broom for the umpteenth time, but I also don’t want to step on another piece of crushed cereal and the pile of dishes is still staring me in the face?

Leave the kitchen, of course.

Sit down for a bit.

And make something.

The dirties will still be there later (and they will get done, yes, and just in time to dirty them again).  We will always have our dirties.

But sometimes you need to clear your brain a bit.

Lately, I’m on a digital scrapbooking kick, because of all the crafts in the world, this one is not only easy and fun,

it’s pretty cheap,

it doesn’t require any storage space,

it doesn’t require extreme safety measures to protect curious 3-year-olds,

and it doesn’t require me lugging a machine down the stairs (take that, you closet full of fabric and monster sewing machine)!

So, please don’t get annoyed with me if I lay one more new layout on ya.  Because I have to show off a little.

Ok, I’ve had my creative burst.  Now it’s time to get back to work.

Disclosure:  I’m a member of the Digi Cyber Scraps creative team and received this kit for free.
