Seeking Inspiration, Encouragement?

It’s been a tough year.

I haven’t talked about this much, because…

…well, how can my personal struggles compete with things like the economy…

…or earthquakes…

…or tsunamis…

…or any of the other intense human suffering we see happening around the world.

The sadness in my heart somehow seems so selfish.

I have a lot to be thankful for. Our family has been abundantly blessed.

I want to be positive. Hopeful. Peaceful.

But it’s been a tough year.

Homeschooling got hard for me this year.

Ok, some aspects of it have always been a little challenging. I’ve just never had such a long dry spell before. And I never seriously considered packing it in before.

I could blame it on my sneering pre-teen or my adventurous toddler.

I could point to living in a place that still doesn’t quite feel like home.

I could even berate the economy and blame it on the cost of feeding a growing family.

But the truth is, I’ve been missing my inspiration.

A couple of weeks ago something arrived in my inbox…a shot of inspiration and encouragement.

A Super Shot of Freedom from Homeschool Frizzle.

What’s that? It’s something new from Lorrie Flem and Eternal Encouragement. So new, you won’t find it on the website yet. Lorrie is personally putting together some love bundles, collections of e-books and video workshops just for us moms (never seen anywhere else), to inspire us, encourage us, and support us in our daily struggles. They’re Super Shots of encouragement from the Encouragement Membership Program. Subscribe, and each month you will receive not one, not two…but four (!) complete downloadable products all centering around that month’s special topic.

Topics like

  • Parenting Pits
  • Homeschool Frizzle
  • Kids that Clean
  • and more…

And all for only $7.97/month (payable quarterly, that's $23.97 every 3 months)!

We are talking about brand new products created just for you that are only available through this program. Lorrie wants to send blessings from her heart to yours every single month, as only another loving homeschooling mama (who knows about day-to-day stuff you are dealing with) really can.

Money’s tight these days…but I know I’ve wasted more money on much lesser things.

And if you become a charter member by signing up before April 1, 2011, you’ll receive a free gift: How to Make it Through the Hard Times (A Guide for Christian Homeschoolers) mp3 and ebook set by Tammy Cardwell!

How do you sign up? I’m told the launch date is definitely before April 1st…so if you don’t want to miss out on that charter member deal, go to the Eternal Encouragement site and sign up for Lorrie’s e-newsletter…you’ll be one of the first to know when the Encouragement Membership Program goes live…you’ll also get a weekly dose of encouragement in your inbox (something we can all use).

Updated to add: Here's a direct link to sign up for The Encouraging Moms Membership.

  3. Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your struggles. So many times I feel like I am the only one who isn't just jumping for joy every single day to homeschool with everything laid out perfectly to have an absolutely amazing homeschool day! This is my first year & I'm not doing the job I would love to be doing but it's nice to hear other mom's being honest about their struggles, too. Thanks and I'll pray for some inspiration for you!

  4. I love your posts every time I stop by. Thanks for sharing!
    Jenny, Gabby Mom in MI

  5. Girl, thank you for being real. It's been a very rough year in this household as well.

We are in a blessed place, to receive this encouragement through things from Eternal Encouragement and from each other.

    Thanks for posting,
    Betsy---a fellow Gabby Mom

  6. I am sorry things have been rough for you this year. I think we all got through those times. Just remember that when God calls you to homeschool, it is not something we can give up on, even if it gets hard. He will help you through it.

I am also stopping by from the Blog Walk.

I know I am behind, but I am catching up.

    I was already following you.

Would love a follow back if you are not already, but I think you might be. .

Thanks. Have a great day, and i hope you will find your inspiration soon.

  7. Very nice review! You ladies are making it seriously hard to choose a winner this month!
