The Answer to Yesterday's Puzzle

Did you figure it out?

I'll give you a hint:

It's the lock to one of our pocket doors.

The bolt (bottom left) was frozen.
Some crusty residue I scraped off unfroze it,
but it wouldn't stay in a locked position.
Can you see which piece is in the wrong place?

It's that silver piece with the hole in it that should be over a pivot point (fulcrum).

The kiddos spotted the problem right away.
We had fun taking apart the lock and actually seeing how all the parts work.

What do you have in your house that you can take a part
and turn into a science lesson?
