9.27.2021: Google very recently changed drive links for security reasons, so you may find that when you click on a link for one of my printables that you need to submit a share request. PLEASE only submit one share request per item! These have to be manually confirmed and I will get to them when I get to them. I promise you that sending me 12 requests in rapid succession will not make that happen faster, lol! I do not sit on my computer waiting around to send people instant shares of freebies. Thank you so much for your patience as I try to sort out this latest Google mess.

WFMW: Earrings for the Un-pierced

wfmwbannerKRISTEN

Mary’s our fancy girl, the one who likes to wear dresses that sparkle…and to accessorize. I remember when she was a tiny baby and a friend of mine asked if we would get her ears pierced when she was young so she wouldn’t feel it. Wouldn’t feel it?! That’s another conversation, though, so I’ll give it a pass for now. Having chosen to have my own ears pierced when I was a teenager, I believe ear piercing is a personal choice. After all, it can’t be undone. And now that I’m an adult with yet another curious baby, I find that I actually rarely wear pierced earrings…I simply value my earlobes too much! When M is a bit older and better equipped to make that choice, I’ll support her whether she decides to pierce or not. For now, though, she still wants to be fancy. The solution: an ear cuff.

mary earcuff blog I remember getting my first ear cuff at a ren faire, oh about 20 years ago! It was a brass band with an engraved design and a crystal dangle. It wasn’t nearly as pretty or as delicate as this. This one was designed by Karla at www.thyme2dream.com as a gift for Mary’s 6th birthday.

I received NO product or compensation for this post.

  1. Wow, that's the prettiest ear cuff I've ever seen! And a beautiful girl too.

  2. Clip-ons would be pretty too. Perhaps you could find them at a thrift store.

  3. Clip-ons simply don't work for my child...never worked for me either. Too "pinchy." They are truly uncomfortable. This ear cuff, once you've got it adjusted around your ear, does not pinch at all, in fact you can forget it's even there.

  4. This is awesome! DD8 asked to get hers pierced. But DD5 was there and vowed to never do it.

This will work great for her!

  6. What a great idea! I have a fancy princess girl too. She is only 2 ... so I will wait on the ear jewelry, but when the time comes - I definately like this idea!
